ACR #4

Pack 1 pick 1:

My Pick:

I told myself the next time I opened Sedraxis Specter I would take it. But I LOVE taking Agony Warp first. It also leaves my options more open.
Pack 1 pick 2:

My Pick:

I don’t play 5c anymore. It’s too slow in this format. MAYBE if I took board sweepers first and second, but even then it’s risky. This guy costs RR, but I’m going to work to make him easy to cast.
Pack 1 pick 3:

My Pick:

What a loaded pack. My pick of Stinger supports my want of actually playing the bomb passed to me.
Pack 1 pick 4:

My Pick:

Screw you Ranger of Eos. You won’t even tempt me this time.
Pack 1 pick 5:

My Pick:

Could have taken Obelisk here, or even Submersion, but I’m unlikely to play the artifact if I draft my deck right, and Submersion is mild. I don’t want to face Cancel though.
Pack 1 pick 6:

My Pick:

Pack 1 pick 7:

My Pick:

ZING! Shows me it’s unlikely anyone dove into Grixis based on some powerful rare, and whoever got that Jund Charm is getting a serious gift from this pack.
Pack 1 pick 8:

My Pick:

Fun’s over Jund drafter. I can use this too 🙂

Pack 2 pick 1:

My Pick:

As much as I would like some free tickets, I draft to win the draft, and this paltry bribe doesn’t sway me. I could get something back too.
Pack 2 pick 2:

My Pick:

“Secret” Wurm isn’t really what I’m looking for. I don’t plan on my deck being THAT slow, and the removal is, as usual, more consistent.
Pack 2 pick 3:

My Pick:

Maybe I get to be U/B Grixis with the fixing I have.
Pack 2 pick 4:

My Pick:

For the last time, this card is good now, only one shard is likely to have no targets.

My Pick:

I hate giving up the cycler, but I want all the removal I can get.
Pack 2 pick 8:

My Pick:

DING BABY! Another cycler down the drain, but my deck is becoming very good.

My Pick:

Ahh a reason to splash. I already have two Jund Panoramas. We’ll see if I can pick up something else.
Pack 3 pick 3:

My Pick:

Maybe a little early to pick this guy, but he’s crazy good 50% of the time, and the rest of the pack has stuff I can either get later(cycler) or cards people don’t respect(Drastic Revelation).
Pack 3 pick 4:

My Pick:

I wanted the Borderpost so badly.
Pack 3 pick 5:

My Pick:

This guy is so needed in Grixis. Even Dreg Reaver can look good at one less mana.

I don’t remember much, since this was the second draft of the night, but I do remember winning it fairly handily. It’s odd though. Whoever took the Specter from my first pack didn’t do a very good job of telling me Grixis was taken. I suppose it could have gone like 7th or 8th just to take it since my pack was a little stinky. Who knows.
